Why are my fig tree leaves wilting?
Because the roots of fig trees grow close to the soil surface, they are prone to drying out. When the soil becomes too dry and the tree does not receive enough moisture, the leaves may begin to wilt and drop off the tree.
How often do fig trees need to be watered?
Figs don't like wet feet, so don't water too often. Allow the tree to dry a bit between watering. Remember to water slowly and deeply; just don't overwater. Every 10 days to 2 weeks is sufficient.
