How to Water Peonies
How much water do cut peonies need?
Fill the vase about 1/3 with water. Add a packet of flower food or plan to change the water every couple of days. Remove all leaves that would be underwater in the vase, as they will rot, reducing the life of the flower.
Why are my peony leaves turning yellow?
Peonies subjected to prolonged periods of insufficient water and exposure to temperatures above 90 degrees Fahrenheit may suffer from leaf scorch, or the browning of leaf tips and margins. Over-fertilizing your peony may eventually burn the plant's leaves, causing them to turn yellow, then brown.
Why is my peony not blooming?
The most common reasons peonies fail to bloom are cultural (planting in too much shade and planting too deeply). Remember that peonies are tough and often survive for many years in "not so ideal" sites. However, if they fail to bloom one year - watch out - everyone notices!
