How Often To Water Lavender
How do you keep lavender plant healthy?
Lavender plants require little or no fertilizer. Prune every year immediately after bloom. Cut back 2- to 4- foot tall varieties by a third, low-growing types by 2 to 4 inches. If you won't be harvesting the blooms of repeat performers, such as Spanish lavender, cut off faded lavender flowers to keep new ones coming.
Does lavender come back to life?
Lavender does come back after Winter if they are planted in the appropriate climate. French and Spanish lavenders are not cold hardy and may not come back after a cold Winter with freezing temperatures whereas English lavender can tolerate cold climates and grow again in the Spring.
