How long does it take to grow vegetables hydroponically?
Almost anything can be grown hydroponically. Leafy greens will be available for harvest in just three weeks and vegetables can be ready for picking in as early as six weeks.
How long is too long for veg?
Vegging a plant for three months is a waste of time so think of it as something with diminishing returns when you overdo it. I usually recommend a week of veg time for every gallon of growing medium (ie: a plant grown in a 5-gallon bucket should get about a 5 week veg).
Does hydroponics grow faster than soil?
As mentioned previously, plants grown hydroponically grow significantly faster than soil-grown plants. This is because the plant's roots are literally bathing in nutrients, so they can easily and directly absorb them with minimal effort.
Is Hydro cheaper than soil?
But although it may be more expensive to get started with than soil, hydroponics can be a superior way of growing cannabis, and hydro technology is getting cheaper and more accessible every day, offering a range of benefits over classic soil-based cultivation.
